Each Little Folk’s face, hands and sometimes feet have been individually sculptured from a Polymer clay and then baked in the oven. They are assembled onto pipe cleaner ‘bodies’, padded and dressed in various costumes.
Their shoes are made from leather or they have lead boots. The hair is either mohair, viscose or wool (and in one case a piece of my little dog’s tail as I needed jet black hair for a very ‘oily, dirty French waiter’
Each member of the ‘Little Folk’ community is numbered, named and dated.
I am very honoured to have some of my ‘Little Folk’ living all over South Africa,
England and Europe. Five or six of my ‘children’ are in the Puppenhausmuseum in Basil Sweden
